Beirut and Beyond – 10 Years Compilation

The Musicians Support Program was originally created by Beirut and Beyond in 2021 in collaboration with musician/composer Khyam Allami, following the Beirut Port explosion, and as a response to the dire situation that the Lebanese population, artists included, were suffering from since the spread of COVID-19. MSP was meant to offer support to the local music scene, including Lebanon-based artists, recording studios, and sound engineers. The final outcome was a 20-track compilation featuring original tracks by artists selected following an open call.

Following the success and impact of the first MSP and taking into consideration the on-going economic situation in Lebanon, we launched a new round, in partnership with Bachar Mar-Khalifé and his Paris-based label balcoon.

A committee of industry professionals selected 10 artists, respecting gender balance, honoring the diversity of music genres, and highlighting artistic potential. In July 2023, each artist spent one full day at Tunefork Studios where they each recorded a new original track, now compiled in one album: Beirut and Beyond – 10 Years compilation.

The album is ready and is set to drop on March 29th on balcoon music.

We need your support to make it happen.
