Our Musicians Support Program was launched with the aim of providing Lebanon-based musicians and parts of the music community with both immediate and long-term career support.
A committee of local and international professionals made a gender-balanced and genre-diverse selection from the applicants based on the artistic strengths of the musicians’ previous work.
After thoroughly reviewing over 100 applications, our committee selected 20 artists to participate. There was a lot of talent to choose from, which made it both exciting and challenging.
The list of the selected artists includes: Aya Metwalli, Bonne Chose, Dani Shokri, Elyse Tabet, Jaafar Touffar, Jad Atoui, Jana Semaan, Khaled Omran, Khodor Ellaik, Kinematik, KŌZŌ 構造, Liliane Chlela, Marie Abou Khaled, Perla Joe Malouly, Rust, Samah Boulmouna, Sandy Chamoun, Sarah Kaskas, Serge Yared, and Yara Asmar.
The artists are already at work on the tracks and the compilation album will be released in spring 2021.
Beirut and Beyond’s Musicians Support Program was created in collaboration with musician/composer Khyam Allami and is funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Beirut, and the Beirut-focused fundraisers organised by Oslo World and Theatre de la Ville, and SACEM France.
أطلقت بيروت أند بيوند برنامج مبتكر لدعم الموسيقيّين، بهدف تأمين دعم مهني على المديين القريب والبعيد للموسيقيّين المقيمين في لبنان ولقسم من المجتمع الموسيقي.
قامت لجنة من المهنيّين المحلّيين والدوليّين بإختيار المرشّحين والمرشّحات مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار التوازن الجندري بالاعتماد على المتانة الفنّيّة للأعمال السابقة للموسيقيّين.
بعد مراجعة شاملة لأكثر من ١٠٠ طلب ، اختارت اللجنة ٢٠ فنانًا للمشاركة في البرنامج. كانت المواهب متعدّدة والمستوى مرتفع، ما جعل مهمّة الاختيار صعبة ومثيرة للاهتمام.
الفّنانون والفنانات المختارون هم:
آيا متولّي، Bonne Chose، داني شكري، ايليز تابت، جعفر الطفار، جاد عطوي، جنا سمعان وسكارليت سعد، خالد عمران،
Kid Fourteen، Kinematik, KŌZŌ 構造, ليليان شلالا، ماري ابو خالد، برلا جو معلولي، رست، سماح بوالمنى، ساندي شمعون، سارا قصقص، سيرج يارد ويارا أسمر.
يقوم الفنانون حاليّاً بانتاج أعمالهم الجديدة، وسيتمّ إطلاق الألبوم المشترك في ربيع ٢٠٢١.
أُنشئ برنامج دعم الموسيقيّين الخاص ببيروت أند بيوند بالتعاون مع الموسيقي/المؤلّف خيّام اللامي، وبتمويل من السفارة النرويجيّة في بيروت، وبمساعدة من الفعاليات المانحة المخصّصة لبيروت والمنظّمة من قبل أوسلو ورلد وتياتر دو لا فيل، وبمشاركة ساسيم فرنسا.
