Following the success of Women Do Sound and the feedback we received from artists showing interest in live sound, we give you yet another workshop from the world of sound: Musicians and Live Sound.
Musicians and Live Sound is a 1-day intensive workshop for all Lebanon-based musicians and bands who perform live, regardless of their age, gender, music genre, or years of experience.
The workshop will tackle the basic notions of live sound and its techniques which are used in the context of live, on-stage performances. It aims at bridging the gap between musicians and live sound engineers by linking the languages used by each and clarifying the tasks used and needed by both.
Musicians and Live Sound is led by Sana Romanos, a live sound engineer and project/tour manager based in Beirut, Lebanon. Sana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from AUB and a Master’s degree in Audio Engineering from France. Her 7 years experience working in the live music industry, from touring with local and international artists to working for the largest festivals in the Middle-Eastern region and Europe, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, gained her a renowned reputation in the field.
The free-of-charge workshop will take place on Friday June 11 at Fabrika. Places are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
All covid-19 sanitary measures and restrictions will be respected during the workshop.
This program was developed by Beirut and Beyond, in collaboration with live sound engineer Sana Romanos, and funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Beirut.

بعد نجاح Women Do Sound والاهتمام الذي أبداه العديد من الفنانين بالصوت الحي، نقدم لكم ورشة عمل جديدة من عالم الصوت والموسيقى.
Musicians and Live Sound عبارة عن ورشة عمل مكثفة لمدة يوم واحد لجميع الموسيقيين والفرق الموسيقية المقيمين في لبنان الذين يقدمون عروض حية، بغض النظر عن العمر أو الجنس أو نوع الموسيقى أو سنوات الخبرة.
ستتناول ورشة العمل المفاهيم الأساسية للصوت الحي وتقنياته المستخدمة في سياق العروض الحية على المسرح. تهدف إلى سد الفجوة بين الموسيقيين ومهندسي الصوت الحي من خلال تعزيز التواصل بينهما وتوضيح مهام كل منهما.
ورشة العمل بإدارة سنى رومانوس، وهي مهندسة صوت ومديرة مشاريع/جولات مقيمة في العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت. سناء حائزة على إجازة في الفيزياء من الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت وماجستير في الهندسة الصوتية من فرنسا. في رصيدها ٧ سنوات من الخبرة في العمل في قطاع الموسيقى الحية، بدءاً من جولاتها مع فنانين محليين ودوليين ووصولاً إلى مشاركتها في أكبر المهرجانات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا، منها مهرجان Roskilde الذائع الصيت في الدنمارك، ما أكسبها شهرة واسعة في هذا المجال.
ستعقد ورشة العمل المجانية يوم الجمعة 11 حزيران في Fabrika. الأماكن محدودة وهي على أساس أسبقية الحضور.
سيتم احترام جميع الإجراءات والقيود الصحية الخاصّة بفيروس كوفيد -19 خلال ورشة العمل.
هذا البرنامج من إعداد “بيروت أند بيوند”، بالتعاون مع مهندسة الصوت سناء رومانوس، وبتمويل من السفارة النروجية في بيروت.
