In collaboration with STATION, Beirut & Beyond International Music Festival presents Maurice Louca in Concert
Maurice Louca’s sound is one that folds influences, complexity, openness and fluidity.
After performing in the first edition of Beirut & Beyond 2013, and taking part in the 2013 and 2014 Beirut & Beyond tours in partnership with Oslo World Music Festival, Maurice released his second album, Benhayyi Al Baghbaghan (Salute The Parrot) a recording that shattered the confines of musical and cultural labelling and was dubbed by many as a game-changer for the region’s bustling independent music scene.
On June 16, at Station Beirut, hard-hitting live renderings of this album will be performed by Louca on live keys and electronics, along with Bashar Farran on bass and Tommaso Cappellato on drums.
